Summer Program

Our drop-off summer program will be held in Fredon, NJ on 90 private acres of land which includes woods, a lake, swamps, and trails. Children will be exposed to diverse habitats, endless adventure, and valuable nature skills.

$115 per week.

🌞What We Offer:

Free Exploration & Play
Children are encouraged to explore and discover the world around them at their own pace. Climb logs, build forts, follow frogs — the land is theirs to roam!

Creative Expression in Nature
Art projects inspired by the land — from leaf stamping and nature weaving to mud sculptures and natural dyes — creativity has no walls here.

Nature Discovery
Guided explorations introduce children to the amazing local plants and animals. We’ll track animal footprints, identify edible plants, and discover the hidden life of the forest floor.

Gardening & Composting
In our kid-friendly garden, children will plant, water, weed, harvest — and learn how composting turns yesterday’s scraps into tomorrow’s soil.

Earth Skills for Real Life
Children will gain confidence in learning how to stay safe near water and fire, as well as lookout for any dangers such as poison ivy, ticks, and bears.

The Mud Kitchen – Stir, squish, and splash in our messy, magical play space.
The Lake – Observe and explore aquatic life with all the wonder it brings.
The Swamp – Home to frogs, dragonflies, and mysterious sounds just waiting to be investigated.
The Garden – A living classroom full of life, learning, and little green miracles.
The Woods– A shady, enchanted world perfect for fort-building, tree-hugging, and nature walks.

🌞 100% Outside. Rain or Shine.

There are no walls here. Children will spend every moment of the day outdoors, connecting with the rhythms of nature, the changing skies, and the joy of full-body, full-sense engagement. If the weather is deemed too severe and unsafe, children will be brought inside and parents will be contacted for early pick up.

Location: Fredon, NJ (exact address will be given upon registration)
What to Bring: Weather appropriate clothes that can get messy, water, sun protection and a snack! Feel free to also provide a change of clothes if you feel your child might need them.

Weekly Themes

Lake Life Week

This week we’ll explore everything the water has to offer—from the creatures that call it home to the skills that keep us safe while we’re near it.

🐟Fishing with poles and nets — learning patience, technique, and a little fishy fun

🦆Discovering the lake habitat — frogs, turtles, bugs, plants, and fish. We usually always have a family of geese and a great blue heron that visits each year as well

🌊Practicing water safety — understanding boundaries, buddy systems, and basic lake awareness. Children cannot swim in the lake.

🧠Learning how everything in and around the lake works together to form a healthy ecosystem

Vulture Week

This week, we give a little love to the unsung heroes of the animal world — vultures! Often misunderstood, these fascinating birds are smart, helpful, and totally underrated.

🔍Learn what vultures look like, how to identify them, and where to spot them

💀Find out what they eat (spoiler: it’s gross AND amazing)

🌎Explore how vultures help the earth by cleaning up and preventing disease

🐣Discover the vulture life cycle and their place in the web of life

👀Go on vulture-spotting adventures and maybe even see one soar overhead! We have LOTS of vultures that like to hangout on the cliffs and trees near the lake

Critter Quest Week

Worms, bugs, snakes, and salamanders — oh my! This week, we dig deep (literally) to uncover the tiny creatures that make our world go round.

🐞 Explore different habitats — garden, woods, and lake — to see who lives where

🐍 Gently observe snakes, salamanders, and more in their natural environments

🏨 Build bug hotels to provide cozy homes for pollinators and decomposers

🐛 Learn how caterpillars become butterflies, how spiders spin webs, and why all critters have a job to do

🌿 Discover how these small beings play BIG roles in keeping the environment healthy

Mud Week

Let’s squish, splash, and slide our way through the messiest, muddiest week of the summer! Mud Week is all about hands-on discovery, sensory play, and earth science. This is a week that you may want to pack a change of clothes!

🏺 Experiment with different types of soil — sandy, clay, loamy, and everything in between

🪱 Learn who lives in the soil, from earthworms and ants to microbes we can’t even see

💦 Mix water and dirt to make mud — thick, soupy, chunky — and test how each kind behaves

🎨 Use mud as a medium for art, science, and fun!

🧪 Discover how soil supports life, holds water, and plays a key role in ecosystems
