What age group are the spring break and summer programs for?
Our spring and summer programs are designed for children ages 3-9. Please reach out if you have specific questions regarding age restrictions, as we can be flexible.
Where is SCNS located?
Caregiver classes are located at Lodestar Park in Fredon. The Summer Program will be held at a different location in Fredon, NJ. Address will be given upon registration. If you would like a tour and meet-and-greet please send me an email to arrange.

Can parents stay with their kids during the spring break and summer program?
Spring break and summer programs are currently drop-off only. However, you are more than welcome to join your child for any of our caregiver classes.

Will you be offering homeschool classes?
We are not currently offering homeschool classes, but will plan to in the future. Please help us assess the needs of our community by filling out this survey.

Are you hiring?
We are not hiring but we have volunteer opportunities here.
What is the spring program schedule?
The program runs Monday, April 21th through Friday, April 25th 8:30 AM to 1:30 PM.

What is the summer program schedule?
The program runs Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday 9AM-12PM for 4 weeks in July. You can sign up for any number of weeks.
What types of activities can my child expect during the summer?
Children will engage in a variety of outdoor activities, including:

How much does the summer program cost?
$115 per week.
We also offer:

Early Bird Discounts (10% off if registered by May 30th)

Sibling Discounts: $10 off per additional child.

How much does the spring break program cost?

Spring break is $100 per child.

Sibling discounts: $5 off per additional child.

What should my child bring to spring and summer programs?
We recommend the following items:

Sun protection
-
Reusable water bottle to stay hydrated
-
Backpack with any personal items (snacks, extra clothes, etc.)

Comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing (think layers, as temperatures can vary)

Closed-toe shoes (preferably sneakers or hiking shoes, avoid open-toed shoes)

Rain jacket or poncho if the forecast calls for rain, as well as rain boots and rain pants

Healthy snack
What happens if it rains?
Since our programs are 100% outdoor, we go out rain or shine! If the weather is too severe and unsafe, we will shelter indoors and may call for early pick up.
Are there any special accommodations for children with allergies or special needs?
Yes, we strive to accommodate all children and ensure that they have a safe and enjoyable experience. Please let us know about any allergies or special needs when you register or even prior, and we will do our best to make appropriate accommodations.
How can I register for the Spring and Summer Programs?
Registration is easy! Simply visit our website or contact us to secure your child’s spot. Spring break registration opens March 1st. The summer program registration opens May 1st.
How will my child be supervised?
We maintain a low camper-to-teacher ratio (1:5) to ensure each child receives plenty of attention and guidance during activities.​
